The Great Northern Auction Company Ltd. (hereafter TGNA) provides this Privacy Statement to make you aware of our privacy policy, practices and of the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

TGNA is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. We recognize that when you choose to provide us with information about yourself, you trust us to act in a responsible manner. Once you choose to provide us with personally identifiable information (any information by which you can be identified), you can be assured that it will only be used to support your customer relationship with TGNA. At all times, it is your decision as to whether you wish to use TGNA and provide us with information about yourself. At no time will we collect, use or disclose your personal information for purposes other than those listed in this Privacy Policy without your consent.

You may visit the auction without registering and directly providing any personal information. However you will need to register and provide personal information if you wish to bid, buy or purchase a vehicle, where we may require that you provide personal information such as your name, e-mail address, postal address, date of birth, drivers license number, phone number, fax number, and any pertinent information necessary in the sale, purchase or transfer of a vehicle.

TGNA may also use personal information and data collected to generate aggregate statistics and reports for internal use. However, these statistics and reports will not contain any information that would identify individual users of the auction

Visitors’ non-aggregated specific personal information will not be sold, rented or made available to anyone other than TGNA unless you have given us express permission to do so, or are required by law.

TGNA reserves the right to co-operate with law enforcement and other officials in any investigation requiring either personal information, including any information provided through registering at the auction or online through the Website, or reports about lawful or unlawful user activities.

TGNA also reserves the right at any time to disclose any personal information: (i) to comply with any applicable law or regulation; (ii) if such disclosure is necessary or appropriate to the auctions operation; or (iii) to protect the rights or property of TGNA and its users, partners, providers, licensors or merchants.

If TGNA decides to change this Privacy Policy, changes will be posted on the website, www.tgna.ca so that users are always aware of what information is collected, how it is used, and under what circumstances it may be disclosed.

By using the Auction, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information by TGNA, as described by and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
